Services for Ruth Mooney McDonald, of Collins, are 2 p.m.Friday, May 13 at Billy King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home inCollins with burial in McDonald Chapel Cemetery in Collins. TheRev. George Felton will officiate.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. McDonald, 91, died May 11, 2005, at Covington CountyHospital in Collins. She was born in Covington County on Sept. 13,1913, to Richard Earl Mooney and Mary Lofton Mooney.

She retired after 25 years as a nurse at Covington CountyHospital. She was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church inCollins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LavonMcDonald; her sons, Jerry McDonald, Kenneth McDonald, and JoeMcDonald; and a grandson, Joey Chris McDonald.

Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Louise McDonald, ofBrookhaven; her three sisters, Nancy McDonald and Shirley Sanford,both of Collins, and Irene Race, of Cattaraugus, N.Y.; hergrandson, Sam McDonald and his wife, LeAnne, of Clinton; threegreat-grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth McDonald, Molly Grace McDonaldand Sarah Rose McDonald, all of Clinton; and a special friend andcaretaker, Patsy Kirkley.

Pallbearers will be Sammy McRaney, Tommy McDonald, Don McDonald,Austin Bynum, Dr. Tom McDonald and Kenneth McRaney.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Mooney, Paul McDonald, BillySanford, Pete Higginbotham and Ray McDonald.
