Charles Roy Delaney

Services for Charles Roy Delaney, of Meadville, are 2 p.m.today, May 20 at Sarepta Baptist Church in Meadville with burial inthe church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Delaney, 58, died May 18, 2005, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in Adams County on Nov. 6, 1946,to John Cloie Delaney and Katherine Ellington Delaney ofMeadville.

He was a truck driver. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict.He was a member of Serepta Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Patsy Lee Ashley Delaney, ofMeadville; his daughter, Nancy Strittman, of Meadville; his sons,Jason Delaney and Chuck Delaney, both of Meadville; his sisters,Shirley Wilson and Louise Armstrong, both of Meadville; hisbrothers, John R. Delaney, of Longview, Texas, and Wayne Delaney,of Brookhaven; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.

Orbie L. Jordan

Services for Orbie L. Jordan, of McComb, are 2 p.m. Saturday,May 21 at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home andSaturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Jordan, 93, died May 19, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lincoln Countyon Feb. 14, 1912, to T.D. Lewis and Ethel Smith Lewis.

She was retired from Kellwood in McComb after 22 years. She wasa member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in FranklinCounty.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Grady C.Jordan; a daughter, Bobbie Nell Jordan Nevels; and three sons, J.L.Jordan, Phillip Wade Jordan and Billy Jordan.

Survivors are her sons, Dennis Jordan and Thomas “Tom” Jordan,both of Smithdale; her brothers, George Lewis, Eugene Lewis andPrentiss Lewis, all of Natchez; 14 grandchildren; and severalgreat-grandchildren.
