Services for Lee Edward Brown, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, May 28 at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church with burial in NewHope Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary, with family hour Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at thechurch.

Mr. Brown, 76, died May 24, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 26, 1929, to the Rev.Huriah Brown Sr. and Irma Payton Brown.

He was a retired grocery store owner. The last store he ownedwas Brown Grocery Store on Brignal Road. He was a veteran of theArmy. He was a member of Beulah Chapel M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, HarvieLee Brown, Charlie A. Brown and Huriah Brown; and his sisters,Doretha Brown and Myrtis Brown.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Alice Brown, of Brookhaven; hisson, David Lee Brown, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Betty BrownTate, of Chicago, Ill.; his sisters, Hazel Kinney, of Jackson, andLaDett Brown Jett, and her husband, Willie, of Chicago; a specialaunt, Eloise Morgan and her husband, J.W., of Brookhaven; and onegrandson.
