Golfing event will raise funds to fulfill dreams

The southern chapter of the Live A Dream Foundation will sponsora golf tournament June 10 at Quail Hollow at Percy Quin StatePark.

The Live A Dream Foundation seeks to promote quality of life forarea seniors by community service, education and fulfillingdreams.

This is the foundation’s second fund-raising golf tournament.The four-person scramble tournament is scheduled to get under wayat 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. A luncheon will be held at 11:30a.m., which is included in the tournament fee.

The southern chapter of the Live A Dream Foundation is forseniors who are 65 years or older and live in Adams, Amite, Copiah,Franklin, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pike, Walthall orWilkinson counties or Tangipahoa Parish, La.

The foundation is operated through the association ofMississippi Association for Marketing Healthcare.

Applicants seeking foundation assistance are asked to write a300-word narrative about their dream, the importance of the dreamand the impact the dream would have on their life. Members of MAMHchoose senior to fulfill their dreams.

Applications are accepted all year long with a deadline of Aug.1 for voting the following September. Applicants are notified inwriting whether their dreams have been chosen for fulfillment.
