Services for John David Bacanis, of Liberty, are 10 a.m. Monday,June 20 at Jones Family Funeral Service Chapel in McComb withburial in Clay Hill Church of God Cemetery in Liberty. The Rev.Bobby Boyd and the Rev. J.L. Touchstone will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-10 a.m. atthe funeral home.

Mr. Bacanis, 61, died June 16, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in McComb on Jan. 17, 1944, to John Bacanis andMinnie Duck Bacanis.

He was a devoted Christian, who loved preaching and loved hisBible. He was a member of Clay Hill Church of God.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, RobertJoseph Bacanis.

Survivors are his brother, Paul Lee Bacanis, of Brookhaven; hissisters, Patricia Watts and her husband, Derane, of Meadville, andMary Dillon and her husband, James, of McComb; his nephew, Jr.Watts, of Meadville; and his nieces, Angie Smith, of Meadville, andMelissa Dillon, of McComb.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Watts, Michael Watts, Dusty Watts,Justin Williams, John Smith and Danny Watts.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 104 N. 5th St.,McComb MS 39648.
