Pauline Brister Dunaway Coon

Services for Pauline Brister Dunaway Coon, of Jayess, are 2 p.m.Thursday, June 23 at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel in McComb withburial in Enon Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until 2p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coon, 87, died June 21, 2005, at Billdora Nursing Home inTylertown. She was born in Walthall County on June 19, 1918, toPinkie Buel Brister and Rosa Alexander Brister.

She was retired from Kellwood Company. She was a member of EnonBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, EldaPurvis Dunaway; her second husband, Stanley Coon; one daughter,Dorothy May Lang; one grandson, Michael A. May; three brothers,Fred Brister, Marcus Brister and Jimmy Jewell Brister; and twostepsons, Everett Coon and Vilace Coon.

Survivors are her daughter, Eldena D. May, of Jayess; twostepdaughters, Evelyn Alexander, of Summit, and Joan Beal, ofJayess; one sister, Perline Cline, of Jayess; two brothers, CharlesRay, of Jayess, and Rufus Brister, of Port Arthur, Texas; onestepbrother, Bobby Earl Pennington, of Jayess; four grandchildren;five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerousnieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Elmer Harrison Johnson

Services for Elmer Harrison Johnson, of Bogue Chitto, are 10a.m. Thursday, June 23 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson, 85, died June 20, 2005, at Silver Cross NursingHome. He was born in Bogue Chitto on Jan. 23, 1920, to Rufus D.Johnston and Mary Laird Johnston.

He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. He served inthe Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member ofJohnson Grove Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dorothy WelchJohnson; his sisters, Myrtle Oliver, Mae Wallace, Velma Smith andElsie Brown; and his brother, Clarence Johnston.

Survivors are his sons, Elmer Randall Johnson and his wife,Mary, of Natchez, and Douglas Wayne Johnson and his wife, Donna, ofNatchez; his grandchildren, Doug Johnson and his wife, Shannon,David Johnson and his wife, Rhonda, Sarah Johnson, Lacie Johnsonand Phillip Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Mary Carson Johnson,Noah Johnson and Anna Johnson; and a number of nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, David Johnson, PhillipJohnson, Greg Smith, Darrell McManus, Roger Smith and GlenLaird.

Honorary pallbearers will be Malcolm Wallace, Hendrix Laird andThomas Welch.

Minor Tyree Kelly

Services for Minor Tyree Kelly, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, June 24 at Siloam M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Kelly, 69, died June 18, 2005, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1936, to VersieKelly Sr. and Addie Fairman Kelly.

He was retired. He was a member of Siloam M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, R.C.Kelly.

Survivors are his wife, Faye Kelly, of Dallas, Texas; his son,Minor F. Kelly, of Dallas; his daughter, Beatrice K. Cameron, ofHouston, Texas; his sisters, Gearldine Kelly, of Springfield,Mass., Delores Johnson, of Baton Rouge, La., Virgie Mae Clark, ofBogue Chitto, and Doris Kelly, of Brookhaven; his brothers, IraKelly and his wife, Willie, of South Carolina, J.C. Kelly and hiswife, Alice, of Springfield, Robert Lee Kelly and his wife, Pam, ofOakland, Calif., Versie Kelly Jr., of Brookhaven, and CharlesKelly, of Brookhaven; and many nieces, nephews and otherrelatives.

Services for Scott Sibley Sr., of Summit, are 2 p.m. Thursday,June 23 at Cockerham Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Liberty withburial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Sibley, 85, died June 16, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn on March 3, 1920, to Jessie Sibley and Alice Sibley.

He was a retired employee of Amite County. He served in the Armyduring World War II. He was a member of Cockerham Chapel FreewillBaptist Church in Liberty.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, AddineSibley; one son, Scott Sibley Jr.; two daughters, Missy Gallowayand Annette Sibley; two grandchildren; five brothers; and foursisters.

Survivors are his daughters, Bertha Young, Willie Mae Sibley andChristine Lee, all of McComb, and Bessie Jackson, of Hammond, La.;his sons, L.D. Sibley, of New Orleans, Frank Sibley, Henry Sibleyand James Sibley, all of Summit, Robert Sibley, of McComb, andEllis Ray Sibley, of Henderson, Ky.; 41 grandchildren; 43great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
