Lillian Lenell Brock

Services for Lillian Lenell Brock, of Hattiesburg, are 3 p.m.today, June 24 at First Baptist Church of Glendale with burial inGlendale Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is today from 2-3 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Brock, 85, died June 21, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church ofGlendale.

Preceding her in death was her husband, James William Brock Sr.

Survivors are her daughters, Martha Puckett, of Hattiesburg, andLinda Nelson, of Moselle; her sons, James W. Brock Jr., ofSeminary, and Charlie Brock, of Brooklyn; her sisters, Virgie RuthLofton and Alma Gunnell, both of Brookhaven, and Ruby Moss, ofRaymond; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jewel Herring George

Graveside services for Jewel Herring George, of Lindale, Texas, are2 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Pleasant Grove Methodist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at HarrigillFuneral Home.

Mrs. George, 91, died June 23, 2005, at her residence. She was bornin Monticello on Nov. 21, 1913, to Martin M. Herring and BeulahBeeson Herring.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, D.B.George.

Survivors are her daughters, Betty Williams, of Lindale, and EllaRussell, of Greenwood; two grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren.

Annie Lee Thomas

Services for Annie Lee Thomas, of McCall Creek, are 11 a.m.Saturday, June 25 at Cool Springs M.B. Church in McCall Creek withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 6 p.m., with family presentfrom 6-7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas, 88, died June 20, 2005, at Franklin County Hospital inMeadville. She was born on Nov. 14, 1916, to the Rev. Luther Thomasand Cora Hooker Thomas.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Churchwhere she was a member of the Missionary Society andMotherboard.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Zack Thomas;her daughter, Mildred Lane; her sons, Henry H. Thomas and James S.Thomas; her brother, Luther Thomas Jr.; and her sisters, MamieCrockett and Velma Cooper.

Survivors are her daughters, Minnie L. Walls, Gladys MarieRichardson and Geneva Bennett, all of Bloomington, Ill., ShirleyRuth Martin, of McCall Creek, Linda Martin, of Lucien, Gwendolyn T.Williams, of McCall Creek, and Barbara Tyler, of Loyd Star; hersons, Thomas Thomas, of McCall Creek, Luther Thomas, of Lucien andWillie E. Thomas, of Brookhaven; and her sister, Thelma Smith, ofLos Angeles, Calif.; 49 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; andtwo great-great-grandchildren.

Ruby Lee Bowman-Williams

Services for Ruby Lee Bowman-Williams, of Dayton, Ohio, are 10 a.m.Saturday, June 25 at Christian Discipleship Ministries in Daytonwith burial in Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. McLin’s Funeral Home inDayton is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Bowman-Williams, 80, died June 19, 2005, in Dayton. She wasborn on Dec. 5, 1924, to Willard Bowman and Sarah WilliamsBowman.

She was a 1943 graduate of Alexander High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister Frances AnnBillups; and her brother, Willie Lee Bowman.

Survivors are her daughter, Anita Townes, of Huber Heights, Ohio;and her brother-in-law, John Billups, of Brookhaven.
