The McComb Police Department is seeking information about anarmed robbery in the Edgewood Mall parking lot Tuesday evening.

According to MPD Investigator Leeann Slipher, a 20-year-oldwoman was leaving the mall and going to vehicle in the northwestparking lot when the robbery occurred around 6:30 p.m. The victimwas not identified.

“She was approached by a black male who put a gun in her faceand demanded her wallet,” Slipher said.

When the victim gave up her wallet, the suspect ran to a whitePontiac and climbed into the passenger’s side, the detective said.The vehicle was last seen heading west.

The armed robber was described as being in his 20s, Sliphersaid.

The wallet contained credit cards but no cash, according to thevictim.
