Services for Lamar Clanton, of Gloster, are 11 a.m., Monday,July 11, at Bude Baptist Church with burial in Midway Cemetery inMeadville.

Visitation is Sunday from 6-9 p.m., at Franklin Funeral Home inMeadville.

Mr. Clanton, 71, died July 9, 2005, at Franklin Hospital. He wasborn on Aug. 26, 1933, to Lee Roy Clanton and Mamie Velma EzellClanton

He was retired from International Paper. He was a member of Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a high school graduate and aveteran of the Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, MarthaClanton; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his wife, Mable Bass Clanton; his sons, DavidClanton, of Meadville, and Robbie Bass of Gloster; his daughters,Kim Priest, of Eddiceton, and Angle Houston, of Bude; his brothers,Doug Clanton, of Brookhaven, and Billy Clanton and Oscar Clanton,both of Meadville; his sisters, Emily Scott, of Meadville, LouiseCupit, of Union Church, and Seleta Kennedy, of Brookhaven; andeight grandchildren.
