Marzell ‘Steamboat’ Fairman

Services for Marzell “Steamboat” Fairman, of Layton, Utah,formerly of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 at LinquistFuneral Home with burial in Linquist Cemetery, both in Layton.
Mr. Fairman, 82, drowned July 7, 2005, while on a fishing trip.He was born on Jan. 28, 1923, to Minor Fairman and MaryFairman.
He was retired. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Hezekia”Jim” Fairman, Anthony Fairman and Luther Fairman; and two sisters,Beatrice Byrd and Ester Mae Wilcher.
Survivors are his wife, Celestine Fairman, of Layton; his sons,Marzell Fairman Jr., of Denver, Colo., Billy Ray Fairman, the Rev.Terry Fairman and Johnny Fairman, all of Layton, and Gary Fairman,of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter Colleen Fairman, of Austin,Texas; his sisters, Gazell Wilcher and her husband, Elder ErnestWilcher, of Brookhaven, and Marie Byrd and her husband, LentonByrd, of Urbana, Ill.; twelve grandchildren; and sixgreat-grandchildren.
