Services for Etta Tywana Minton, of Clinton, are 11 a.m. Friday,July 15 at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. The Rev.Charles Gentry will officiate.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Minton, 63, died July 13, 2005, at her residence followinga lengthy battle with cancer.

She was a dedicated employee of the Mississippi Association ofCoaches and most recently, the Mississippi High School ActivitiesAssociation. She drew a great deal of pleasure from her co-workers,the coaches, school administrators, and other contacts made duringher years of service to the public schools of Mississippi. She wasadmired for the friendly and courteous way that she greeted anddealt with everyone. She was a member of Morrison Heights BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and VirginiaCole, of Brookhaven.

Survivors are her husband of 46 years, Norman Edward Minton; herson, David E. Minton and his wife, Pattie, of Marietta, Ga.; herdaughters, Virginia A. Bracken and her husband, Jeff, of Raymond,and Kathy L. Russell and her husband, Jack, of Raymond; hergrandchildren, Douglas, Stephanie and Markus Minton, Bailey andAvery Bracken, and Robin and Samantha Russell; two sisters, HelenThompson, of Natchez, and Mary Nettles, of Brookhaven; and oneaunt, Mae McGill, of Laurel.
