Services for Sarah I. Clark, of Vidalia, La., were Sunday, July17 at Community Funeral Services with burial in Summit CityCemetery.

Mrs. Clark, 74, died July 13 in Vidalia, La. She was born onDec. 10, 1930, to Clarance Brown and Carrie Wallace Brown.

She was disabled.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and ason.

Survivors are her sons, Wade Smith, of Brookhaven, and WilliamStanley, of Oklahoma; her brothers, Clem Brown, of Liberty, Texas,and Clinton Brown, of Crystal Springs; her sisters, LaverneNiehaus, of Sontag, and Casie Johnson, of Foxworth; 10grandchildren; and 13 grandchildren.

Charles Columbus Coleman

Services for Charles Columbus Coleman, of Slidell, La., are 10a.m., Tuesday, July 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Ben-Salem Cemetery at Caseyville.

Visitation is Tuesday from 8-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Coleman, 74, died July 16 at Northshore Regional MedicalCenter in Slidell, La. He was born in Lincoln County on May 24,1931, to Earl Brewer Coleman and Birdie May Waldon Coleman.

He was a retired taxicab driver for Parish Cab Co. ofSlidell.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, LloydWillie Coleman; and his sister, Earline Coleman Gomez.

Survivors are his beloved, Elaine Collier, of Slidell, La.; andseveral aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extendedstep-family members and friends.

Mary Compton Pounds

Services for Mary Compton Pounds, of Brookhaven, are noonWednesday, July 20 at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church’s parishhall.

Mrs. Pounds, 52, died July 17, 2005, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Washingtonstate on Jan. 25, 1953, to Newman H. Compton and Agnes KellyCompton.

She was retired.

Preceding her in death were her mother and her father-in-law,Horace Pounds.

Survivors are her husband, John Pounds, of Brookhaven; herfather, Newman H. Compton, of Pensacola, Fla.; her mother-in-law,Rosa Pounds, of Brookhaven; her son, Mitch Pounds; her daughter,Lisa Boyte, of Brookhaven; her brother, Les Compton, of Ontario,Canada; her sisters, Sara Kooley of Gig Harbor, Wash., Jane Fuller,of Jacksonville, Fla., and Linda Krueger, of Pensacola, Fla.
