Services for Ernestine Smith, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, July 27 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Mt.Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 73, died July 24, 2005, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 2, 1932,to Ernest Bailey and Ruby Hayes Bailey.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, IsadoreSmith; two sons, Roland and Isadore “I.G.” Smith; a brother, RobertSmith; and a grandson, Rubin J. Gill.

Survivors are her sons, Ramon Smith and his wife, Stella, ofPortland, Texas, and her foster son, Chester Sibley, of BogueChitto; her daughter, Eldora Gill and her husband, Jamie, of BogueChitto; her daughter-in-law, Pam Smith, of Yazoo City; her sisters,Geraldine Smith, of Loyd Star, Betty Jo Norton, of Wesson, andCamelia Smith, of Ruston, La.; her nine grandchildren, Jill Smith,of Portland, Texas, Shannon Helton, of Bogue Chitto, Beth Smith andMatt Smith, both of Austin, Texas, Josh Smith, of Studio City,Calif., Mitchell Hodges, of Picayune, Adam Smith, of Bogue Chitto,and Nicole Smith and Emilee Smith, both of Yazoo City; her fourgreat-grandchildren, Jacob Smith, of Portland, Texas, PaxtonHelton, of Atlanta, Ga., Baleigh Sibley, and Tailyn Street, ofYazoo City.
