Services for Rufus Lee Humphrey, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Sunday, July 24, at Greater Galilee A.M.E. Church on JacksonLiberty Road with burial in Ebenezer A.M.E. Church cemetery.

Mr. Humphrey, 87, died July 19, 2005, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on April 24, 1918, to JohnPriscilla Culver Humphrey.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three wives, MaeFrances Gibson Humphrey, Margaret Paxton Humphrey and Ada BeardHumphrey; two brothers, Solomon Humphrey and Luther Humphrey; andone sister, Sallie Robinson.

Survivors are his two daughters, Mary Ruth Hospkins and HelenLofton; two sons, Ladell Henderson and Michael Tyler; one uncle,Willie Humphrey; one sister-in-law, Cloratee Humphrey; 13grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
