Services for Napoleon B. Parker Sr. of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Aug. 4, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m., at MarshallFuneral Home, and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Parker, 86, died July 29, 2005, in Summit. He was born inNewellton, La. on July, 16, 1919, to Markus and Mammie Parker.

He was an Army veteran. During his tour, he received fiveOverseas Service Bars, one Service Stripe, an Asiatic PacificTheater Ribbon with one Bronze Battle Star, a Good Conduct Medal,and the World War II Victory Medal.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, BeulahSkinner and Mary Lou Parker; and a son, Napoleon B. Parker II.

Survivors are his wife, Lou Ella Parker; three grandchildren andtheir spouses, Felecia and Willie Augustus of Baton Rouge, La.,Pamela and Ronnie Fontenot of Lake Charles, La., and NapoleonParker III; two great-grandchildren, Kadijah Augustus and WillieAugustus III of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother-in-law, Wiley AdamsSr. of Brookhaven; one sister-in-law and her spouse, Lucretia andWilliam Hardwick of Chicago, Ill; and a host of nieces, nephews,adopted children, and other relatives and friends.
