The Doers of the Word Outreach Mission Back to School Workshopheld July 30 was a great success.

We would like to think all of our local businesses and churchesfor all their contributions to help supply the needy with schoolsupplies for this new school year. With your assistance, themission was able to aid 103 area children.

Sister Janice Burgess, member of Oak Grove M.B. Church, was themotivational speaker for this event. During her speech, Mrs.Burgess encouraged the youth to forget about their past but tofocus on this new school year with a new strength of mind anddetermination. Mrs. Burgess also urged the youth to be obedient andlearn to discipline themselves by making good choices.

The directors of the mission center, the Rev. James R. Pittmanand Sister Mary Pittman, would again like to express gratitude toeveryone who donated to this successful project and look forward tomore teamwork in the future.
