Handcuffed suspect flees traffic stop

One suspect remained at large this morning after the handcuffedman fled from authorities during a Wednesday night traffic stop,Lincoln County Sheriff Wiley Calcote said.
Calcote said deputies stopped a vehicle on a traffic violationaround 11 p.m. Wednesday on North Jackson Street. After findingcrack cocaine and marijuana, two suspects were arrested.
While placing a female suspect in custody, Calcote said, themale suspect fled on foot into nearby woods. A search for thehandcuffed man last night was unsuccessful.
“We looked for him for hours,” Calcote said.
