The sheriff said his office had been investigating theDelaughters and received a tip Sunday that the family may have beenin the process of manufacturing meth.
“We sent a criminal informant out there, and he confirmed theinformation we received was correct,” Calcote said.
Drug enforcement officers then moved forward in making thearrests, he said. Officers found drug paraphernalia, manufacturingresidue and some meth during the search, Calcote said.
The laboratory to manufacture the drug was found under a chickenhouse on the property, the sheriff said.
Sheila Ann Delaughter, Larry Wayne Delaughter Sr. and Bradleyreceived the lesser charge of conspiracy because there was noevidence to tie them to the lab, Calcote said.
