Services for Helen West Ferguson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Wednesday at Philadelphia Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral homeand Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Ferguson, 85, died Sunday at home after a brief illness.She was born July 20, 1920, to the late Holly and Mellie F. West,of Union Church.

She was a Christian homemaker and loved her family and fellowman, to whom she gave a lifetime of service. She also loved herchurch and church family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Harold West;her husband of 60 years, Merrill Ferguson; and agreat-grandchild.

Survivors are her children, Lynelle Britt and husband, Jim, ofBrookhaven, Helen Ruth Lea and husband, Hubert, of New Hebron,Edward M. Ferguson and wife, Jackie, Danny Ferguson and wife, Sue,and Ricky Ferguson and wife, Cathey, all of Brookhaven; sisters,Earline Sebern of Prentiss and Fay McDaniel of Union Church; abrother, Max West of Philadelphia, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; 22great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also, sheshared her heart and home with many other special people throughthe years.

Services for Mamie I. Huckaby, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home andTuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Huckaby, 77, died Sunday at Beverly Health Care. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Oct. 30, 1927, to the late Julius SmylieHuckaby and Ruth Leggett.

She was retired from Stahl Urban. She was a member of BethelBaptist Church, where she served in the nursery for 30 years andacted as grandmother to a host of nieces and nephews. She was agraduate of Bogue Chitto High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, James C.Huckaby, Aubrey Huckaby, Claude Huckaby, Lenox Huckaby and BillHuckaby; and a sister, Lucille Reeves.

Survivors are her brother, Bob Huckaby and wife, Katherine, ofBogue Chitto, and sisters, Mable Wallace and husband, James, ofBogue Chitto, and Mattie Brown, of Moss Point.
