Services for Jimmy Hammond, of Monticello, are 2 p.m. today,Sept. 7 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial inTilton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Monticello.
Mr. Hammond, 67, died Sept. 5, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on Feb. 13, 1938, toJohnnie Dudley Hammond and Lanelle Robbins Hammond.
He was a retired oil field worker for Arthusia Oil Co. He was amember of the National Guard and the Monticello Baptist Church. Hewas also a member of the Lawrence County Cattlemen’sAssociation.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Hammond, of Monticello; hisdaughter, Amy Williams, of Independence, and Cindy Stone, ofAlexanderia, Va.; his sons, Donald Trent Hammond, of Oxford, andThomas Keyes, of Crystal Springs; his sisters, Jeanette Williams,of Bogue Chitto, and Barbara Roark, of Jackson; and ninegrandchildren.
