Ford Summers

Services for Ford Summers, of Jayess, were 11 a.m. Saturday,Sept. 10 at Magee’s Creek Baptist Church in Tylertown with burialin Magee’s Creek Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Summers, 70, died Sept. 8, 2005, at Southwest MississippiMedical Center in McComb. He was born on June 24, 1935, to KieSummers and Ira Jordan Summers.

He was a retired oil field worker and served in the NationalGuard. He was a member of Magee’s Creek Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, RhondaRogers; his brother, Miles Summers; and his sisters, Mildred Howelland Willie Mae Case.

Survivors are his daughters, Sally Smith, of Bogue Chitto, andJulie Hart, of Summit; his brothers Jimmy Summers, of Ruth, andJohnny Summers, of Pricedale; his sisters, Marie Summers, ofBrookhaven, and Susie Reid, of Jayess; six grandchildren; and 10great-grandchildren.
