Candace Avants collected 3 hits as the Lady ‘Cats (11-1, 2-0)scored 3 runs in the third frame to forge a 4-0 lead. Jessie Millerchipped in 2 hits. Dori Hall and Chelsey Miller singled.

“We didn’t play as well as we should have but we won, and that’swhat counts,” said BC coach Scott Leggett. “The big layoff slowedus down a little. We still played pretty good defense with just afew mistakes.”
