Services for Mattie Rea Terrell, of Natchez, are 1 p.m. Friday,Sept. 16 at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel in Natchez withburial in the McCall Creek Church of God Cemetery in FranklinCounty.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Terrell, 85, died Sept. 13, 2005, at Natchez CommunityHospital. She was born in Franklin County on Feb. 14, 1920, to Nickand Mattie Strait Smith.

She attended McNeely Road Church of God and was a member of theAuburn Garden Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, MonellSmith, Eunalee Smith and Lottie Smith; five brothers, Lofton Smith,Percy Smith, Odie Smith, Cecil Smith, Herman Smith; and herhusband, Roy Terrell.

Survivors are her sister, Mavis Bruner, of Allen, Texas; herbrother, Flavius H. Smith, of Natchez; and a number of nieces andnephews.
