Services for Woodrow Hanshew, of Sontag, are 11 a.m. Thursday,Sept. 15 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Nola ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is today from 4 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hanshew, 85, died Sept. 12, 2005, at Monticello CommunityCare Center. He was born in Arkansas on Jan. 20, 1920, to HenryHanshew and Maude Moore Hanshew.

He was a welder’s helper. He was a member of Nola BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Nonerle Hanshew, of Sontag; hisdaughters, Shirlene Stephens, of Silver Creek, Jan Smith, of Grady,Ala., and Trish Davis, of Monticello; and his son, Jackie Hanshew,of Sontag; his sister, Violet Evans, of Missouri; his brothers,Cecil Hanshew, of Florida, and Arthur Hanshew, of California; 11grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
