Sissy Davis will be sorely missed

Dear Editor,
How sad to read of the passing of Sissy Davis, who was without adoubt one of Brookhaven and Wesson’s most outstanding personalitiesand cooks.
I got to know Sissy, her husband, Don, and their sons when Imoved to Brookhaven and into the Inez Hotel in September 1989. Theyall became a part of my “family away from home.” I am convincedthat a steady supply of Sissy’s famous fried chicken livers, mashedpotatoes and gravy helped see me through a serious illness 11 yearsago.
Some of my fondest memories of Brookhaven will always be of theInez, both the hotel and the restaurant. I know Sissy left the Inezkitchen some time ago, but for me, and I’m sure others, she willalways be there –Â bigger than life in our hearts and souls.
Much love to Don and the family.
