Services for Eunice Summers Grenn of McComb are 10 a.m. Saturdayat Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Grenn, 95, died Sept. 27, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn on June 10, 1910, to the late Benjamin Summers and ElizabethMcDowell Summers.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Earl E.Grenn; her daughter, Neva Collins; her brothers, Cecil, Willard andOdis Summers; her sisters, Winnie Summers Fox; and a grandson,Michael Esber.

Survivors are her sons, Robert E. Grenn of New Orleans and CarlGrenn and Arnold Grenn, both of McComb; her daughters, EarleenLittle of Norfolk, Va., and Joyce Gill of Clinton, La.; her sister,Nelline Williamson of McComb; 20 grandchildren; and a host ofgreat-grandchildren.

Jessie McCalup Sr.

Services for Jessie McCalup Sr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday at Alexander Junior High Auditorium with burial in RoseHill Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon to 7 p.m. with a family hour from6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McCalup, 75, died Sept. 22, 2005, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on April 30, 1930, to thelate Edward McCalup and Gertrude Scott McCalup.

He was a lift truck driver for Columbus Lumber Co. for 60years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, LucilleMcCalup; his son, Jessie McCalup Jr.; a daughter; a host ofbrothers and sisters; a grandson; and a granddaughter.

Survivors are his sons, Charles McCalup of New Orleans and JohnMcCalup of Brookhaven; his daughters, Rose Mary Tolliver ofChicago, Ill., Patricia McCalup Demontagnac of Baltimore, DeborahFells, Gerry Miller, Michelle McCalup, Ruby McCalup, Joyce McCalup,all of Brookhaven, and Jennifer Grady of New Orleans; 27grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Peggy Rogers Monahan

Graveside services for Peggy Rogers Monahan of Brookhaven are 3p.m. Friday at Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family FuneralServices is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Monahan, 62, died Sept. 28, 2005, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born on Oct. 24, 1942, to the late JimmyRogers and Tad McNamee Rogers.

Mrs. Monahan grew up in Kilgore, Texas, and moved to Jackson,Miss., after her marriage in 1963. She worked for Primos Northgateand managed one-hour martenizing cleaners while in Jackson. Shemoved to Brookhaven, where she and her husband built and managedone-hour martenizing cleaners. Later, she worked for Banes Drugsfor several years. She was a dedicated homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billyand Tommy Rogers.

Survivors are her husband, John Monahan; her son, Tony Monahan;her daughter, Kathy Ryan; her sister, Barbara Nau, all ofBrookhaven; and her grandchildren, Katie and Emily Ryan.

Carl Lee Thompson

Mr. Thompson, 85, died Sept. 28, 2005, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Dec. 12, 1919, to the late John FloydThompson and Ruth Leggett Thompson.

He was a retired painter with Illinois Central Railroad andCopiah-Lincoln Junior College. He was a member of Decell UnitedMethodist Church of Wesson. He was a World War II veteran of theU.S. Navy.

Survivors are his wife, Rachael Thompson of Wesson; hisdaughters, Rachael Carleen Rice of Valrico, Fla., and Janet DianeShorter of Florence; his six grandchildren; and his sixgreat-grandchildren.

Troy Melton Thurman

Graveside services for Troy Melton Thurman of Hammond, La., are3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mr. Thurman, 81, died Sept. 27, 2005, at Hammond Nursing Homeafter a lengthy illness.

He was born in Wesson and made his home in Brookhaven beforemoving to Hammond in 1956. He was the owner of Thurman ElectricCompany.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Curtis Wade and MinnieThurman of Wesson; and three brothers, his twin, Roy SheltonThurman of Brookhaven, Wade Thurman of Tennesee and Charles LarryThurman of Wesson.

Survivors are his daughters, Linda Thurman of Baton Rouge,Stephanie Harper of Hammond and Donna Adams of Pumpkin Center; hisson-in-law, the Rev. Michael Adams of Pumpkin Center; sister,Maureen Cole of Brookhaven; his four grandchildren; and his sevengreat-grandchildren.
