Services for Floyd C. Johnson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Monday, Oct. 10 at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11p.m. at the church.

Mr. Johnson, 80, died October 7, 2005, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on July 29, 1925, toWilliam Henry Johnson and Evie Smith Johnson.

He was a retired civil service carpenter and was a Navy veteranduring World War II. He was a member of Gum Grove BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, RickeyJohnson; his brothers, Henry I. Johnson and Marion Johnson; and hissisters, Clara Smith and Palmae Ainsworth.

Survivors are his wife, Mamie Clinton Johnson, of Brookhaven;his daughters, Regina East and her husband, Andy, of Brookhaven,and Tina Johnson, of Brookhaven; his brother, Cephus Johnson, ofBrookhaven; his sister, Ella Hall, of Brookhaven; hisgrandchildren, Matt East, Blake East, Brandon Johnson, MistyMorrison, Stacy Brister and Clay Johnson; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Leslie Brister, Colton Brister, Macey East,and Katelynn Morrison.
