Services for Ruth Myrl Brotherns of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.Saturday at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Loyd Star with burial in Mt.Pisgah A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Wesson. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brotherns, 63, died Oct. 11, 2005, at her residence. Shewas born in McBride on Nov. 9, 1941, to Willie Mae Collins and thelate Delmar C. Collins.

She was disabled. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E.Church.

Preceding her in death were her father; two brothers, J.B.Collins and Henry Lee Collins; a sister, Bessie Earl Keys; agrandmother, Chaney Short; a grandson, Larmquis Johnson; and agranddaughter.

Survivors are her husband, James Brotherns; her sons, ErnestCollins and his wife, Linda, Lewis Charles Collins and his wife,Susan, Tommy Brotherns and his wife, Tina, Cedric Brotherns andAdrian Brotherns, all of Wesson; her daughters, Janice Brothernsand her husband, Alfred, of Wesson, Denise Byrd and her husband,Randy, of Brookhaven and Tammy Brotherns and her husband, Jimmy, ofWesson; her brothers, J.P. Collins and his wife, Fannie, ofPatterson, and Andrew Collins and his wife, Ruby, of Wesson; hersister, Gloria Williams and her husband, John, of Union Church; 26grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
