Bessie Mae ‘Mama Bessie’ Brown
Services for Bessie Mae “Mama Bessie” Brown, of Bogue Chitto,are 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at Norfield M.B. Church in BogueChitto with burial in the Bogue Chitto/Norfield Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Brown, 89, died Oct. 13, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Sept. 28, 1916, to Henry Crossley andFannie Crossley.
She was retired. She was a member of Norfield M.B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JuniousBrown; three brothers, Tyree Crossley, Willie Crossley and J.C.Crossley; four sisters, Mary Louis, Ruby Lee, Jessie Carter andLucy Wills; a son-in-law, Melvin Godbolt; and a daughter-in-law,Margie Brown.
Survivors are her seven sons, Melvin Brown, of Norfield, JerryBrown, of Racine Wisc., Othell Brown and his wife, Bridgett, ofLandcaster, Calif., Franklin Brown and his wife, Suzanne, ofMilwaukee, Wisc., James Brown and his wife, Janet, of Bogue Chitto,Carl Brown and his wife, Gloria, of Norfield, William Brown and hiswife, Julia, of Norfield; her four daughters, Virginia Harness andher husband, Jewel, of Summit, Frances Gatlin and her husband,James, of Inglewood, Calif., Shirley Godbolt, of Milwaukee, andFannie Jean Brown, of Inglewood, Calif; two brothers, JerryCrossley and John Crossley, both of Canton; 37 grandchildren; 31great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Odie Mae Jackson Price, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Abundant Life Christian Center with burial inFriendship Church Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home in Brookhaven isin charge of arrangements.
Visitation is today from 6 to 7 p.m. at Abundant Life ChristianCenter and again Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Price, 63, died Oct. 14, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Dec. 15, 1941. Her parents were Ada MaeJackson and Bill Bo Jackson. Her biological father was RogeanJones.
She was a member of the 50 Plus Club, the Jail House ChurchMinistry and an Usher.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her biological father;her husband, Roosevelt Price Sr.; one brother, Marcus Jackson; andone sister, Helen Jones.
Survivors are her five daughters, Retina Roberts, Shelia Wilson,Ada Jones, Rosevette Brothern and Janyce Stapleton; her four sons,Darren Anderson, Charlie Anderson, Edwin Anderson and JavarishAnderson; her three sisters, Carolyn Bouie, Mazie Benson and DazieBurnett; one brother, Jimmy Fields; an aunt, Malatee Chism; and ahost of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
