Services for Alfred Ray Furlow, of Jackson, are 11 a.m. Friday,Oct. 21 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with burial in BethesdaMethodist Cemetery near Hazlehurst.

Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Furlow, 72, died Oct. 19, 2005, at his residence.

He was a self-employed floor covering installer.

Preceding him in death were his parents, J.B. and Mary LouHamilton Furlow; two brothers, Jimmy and Benton Furlow; his sisterVeryle Mercier; and a granddaughter, Amy Danielle Evans.

Survivors are his wife, Francis Merle Brister Furlow; twodaughters, Patricia Ann Wallace and her husband, Ed, of Terry, andKathy Lynn Tate and her husband, Jeff, of Jackson; his brother,Stanley Ed Furlow, of Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Inez Danise, ofOcean Springs, and Joan Ann Grone, of Brookhaven; twograndchildren, Bradley Ray Cotten and his wife, Kandye, ChristinaLatrice Cotten; and one great-grandchild, Allison Jean Cotten.

Brady Gray Overstreet

Services for Brady Gray Overstreet, of Monticello, are 3 p.m.Friday, Oct. 21 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Overstreet, 72, died Oct. 18, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn on Sept. 2, 1933, to Alfred Conrey Overstreet and Rosea LeeMcBride.

He worked for 25 years with Positive Pest. He was a member ofBethel Baptist Church in Monticello. He loved to work in hisyard.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one son; one grandson;and a brother.

Survivors are his wife, Catherine Overstreet, of Monticello; hisdaughters, Debra Jean Overstreet Smith, of Brookhaven, Wanda JaneOverstreet Childs, of Summit, Cathy June Overstreet Lamberth, ofWetumpka, Ala., Violia Jean Overstreet Duke, of Texas; his sisters,Doris Dodson and Edith Marie Hamilton, both of Virginia; hisbrothers, Grover Overstreet, of Virginia, and Charles Overstreet,of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and 15great-grandchildren.

David ‘D.S.’ Turner

Services for David “D.S.” Turner, of Wesson, are 2 p.m. Friday,Oct. 21 at St. Peter Rock M.B. Church in Beauregard with burial inin the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 7 p.m. with family presentfrom 6 to 7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Turner, 72, died Oct. 14, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Aug. 6, 1933, to Joe Faye Turner and HattieMcGee Turner.

He worked for Illinois Central Railroad for a number ofyears.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, MollieLee Turner.

Survivors are his daughter, Patricia Dodds, of Brookhaven; hissister, Arma Lee Smith, of Brookhaven; his brothers, Otha B.Turner, of McComb, and Terry Turner, of Shelby.
