A. William Bentz (Bill), husband, beloved father, businessowner, campground owner, and veteran, died peacefully October 24,2005.

Bill was born August 2, 1929, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, wherehe spent many years growing up among friends and family, graduatingfrom Brookhaven High School and later from Mississippi StateUniversity, and meeting his future wife.

In 1952, he married Sylvia Noble, also of Brookhaven. In 1955,he relocated to Houston, Texas, to raise a family and to develophis successful insurance business, Greenspoint Agency, where hecontinued to operate as a CLU even until recently. He also ownedand developed Osyka Springs Campground in Osyka, Mississippi, wherehe spent many pleasant hours. His death follows his wife’sclosely.

Bill is survived by his sons David, Don and Andy Bentz, fourgrandsons, two grand-daughters, and one great-granddaughter, all ofAustin, Texas, and by a sister, Helyn East, of Brookhaven.

A private memorial service will be held around Thanksgiving forboth Sylvia and Bill, exact date to be announced.
