Crews cleaning up oil spill

Denbury Resources Inc. crews and subcontractors are working withstate Department of Environmental Quality and federal EnvironmentalProtection Agency representatives today in an ongoing effort toclean up an oil spill that leaked into the Bogue Chitto River.
Larry Warren, a Denbury foreman, said an old fiberglass lineruptured in the ground, allowing leaking oil to seep down a streamand into the river. Cleanup operations began around 9 a.m. Monday,he said.
Warren did not what caused the rupture nor how much oil leakedinto the system. Efforts to contact company executives this morningwere unsuccessful.
