Like much of the rest of the state, Lincoln County escapeddamage as severe weather moved through the area Tuesday.

Brookhaven-Lincoln County Civil Defense Director Clifford saidhe received no reports of downed trees or other damage.

“I guess everything went pretty well, thank goodness,” Galeysaid this morning.

Galey said Lincoln County was under a tornado watch from noonuntil 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and under a severe thunderstorm warningfrom 7 until 8 p.m. An employee at the Brookhaven Waste WaterTreatment Plant said 0.60 inches of rain fell between 7:30 a.m.Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. today.
