Services for Barbara A. Anderson of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.Thursday at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church with burial in HillcrestCemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Anderson, 55, died Nov. 9, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn on Oct. 1, 1950, to the late John D. Anderson and Rose B.Walker Anderson.

She was a truck driver for Wal-Mart. She was a member of BeulahChapel M.B. Church and an Army veteran of nine years.

Survivors are her brother, John D. Anderson Jr. of Detroit,Mich.; and her sisters, Patricia Anderson of Southfield, Mich.,Johanne Anderson of Detroit, Deidra Tig-Crowd of Long Beach,Calif., Rita Potts of Chicago, Catherine Holliday of Detroit,Brenda Fort of Conyers, Ga., and Andrea Canales of Battlecreek,Mich.

Roosevelt ‘Number 1’ McGee

Services for Roosevelt “Number 1” McGee of Brookhaven are 7 p.m.Friday at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home with burial in Rose HillCemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. McGee, 71, died Nov. 12, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Feb. 8, 1934, to the late Jim McGee andBeulah Lee McGee.

He was a city employee in the Sanitation Department. He was amember of Rose Hill M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Mary Lillian Maxwell,and five brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Johnson McGee of; son, Gregory C.McGee; his daughers, Sylvia Newton, Jerry Lynn McGee, CarolynTaylor and Brenda Glasper, all of Brookhaven; his sisters, EulaDennis and Helen Nealy, both of New Orleans; 16 grandchildren; and23 great-granchildren.
