Harry ‘Big Boy’ Doss Jr.

Services for Harry “Big Boy” Doss Jr., of Natchez, were 11 a.m.Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Stampley with burial inthe church cemetery. Marshal Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Doss, 78, died Nov. 21, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Jefferson Countyon May 22, 1927, to Harry Doss and Maggie Doss.

He was a deacon of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a former starof Bethel Baptist Church in New Orleans.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Alex Doss;two sisters, Ethel Davis and Clora Williams; and his first wife,Georgia Doss.

Survivors are his wife, Lollie Doss of Natchez; his sons, LeeDoss Sr. of Stampley, David Doss of Meadville, Robert Doss ofNatchez, and Alex Doss of Tennille, Ga.; his stepsons, Marki Brownand Ronald C. Brown, both of New Orleans; his daughters, JoAnnGrayson of Champagne, Ill., and Joyce Smith and Carolyn Jackson,both of Roxie; his brothers, Julius Doss Sr. of McNair and J. P.Doss of Roxie; his sisters, Willie Mae Culbert and Louise Hunter,both of Stampley, and Mary Lee Fuller and Dora Coleman, both ofVicksburg; his mother-in-law, Annie L. Tenner of Natchez; and hostof grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews andfriends.
