Services for Myra Sue Hedgepeth Carney, of Monticello, were 11a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello with burial inthe church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Carney, 54, died Nov. 23, 2005, at Baptist Medical Centerin Jackson. She was born on March 27, 1951, to Colon Hedgepeth andCloyce Hedgepeth Neely.

She was a Lawrence County school teacher. She was a member ofBethel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her mother; her husband, Ronnie Carney ofMonticello; her son, Dwayne Carney of Monticello; her daughter,Misty Carney of Monticello; her brother, Charles Hedgepeth ofStarkville; and her granddaughter, Faith Carney.
