Thomas Martin Carr

Memorial services for Thomas Martin Carr, of Independence, are 8p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home inHammond, La.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Carr, 56, died Dec. 17, 2005, at his residence. He was bornin McComb on March 30, 1949, to Thomas and Erstine Martin Carr.

He was a Marine Corp veteran with service in Vietnam. He workedas a pipefitter.

Survivors are his wife, Debra Pittman Carr; his daughter, TinaCarr, of Independence; his son, Thomas William Carr, of McComb; twostepdaughters, Crystal Aegerter, of Maurepas, La., Nicole Sampey,of Bridge City; one grandson; two stepgranddaughters; and twostepgrandsons.

James Edwin ‘Ed’ Russell

Services for James Edwin “Ed” Russell, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 20 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Russell, 76, died Dec. 17, 2005, at Forrest General Hospitalin Hattiesburg. He was born in Ruth on Feb. 26, 1929, to J. BensonRussell Sr. and Wadie Brister Russell.

He was an over-the-road truck driver for Campbell (66) Expressand a cattle farmer. He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.He and his wife, Alma, would have been married 57 years onChristmas Day.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, J.B.Russell Jr., Huey P. Russell and Boyce Russell; and four sisters,Pauline Woodrow, Helen Falvey, Dora Mae Allen and VirginiaToomer.

Survivors are his wife, Alma F. Russell, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Judy R. Patt, of Brookhaven, and Amanda R. Artmann andher husband, James “Buddy” Artmann Sr., of Bogue Chitto; onesister, Yvonne Russell, of Brookhaven; six grandchildren, JamesPatt and his wife, Melissa, Jennifer Dickerson and her husband,Chris, Rebecca Jordan Schrader and her husband, Shannon, RachelJordan Williams and her husband, Jacob, Regina Jordan and MatthewJordan; and six great-grandchildren.
