Services for Audrey Toliver Washington, of Bogue Chitto, are 1p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at Springfield M.B. Church in Bogue Chittowith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 to 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Washington, 71, died Jan. 5, 2006, at St. Dominic/JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Quentin on Oct. 22,1934, to Charlie Toliver Sr. and Alberta McNulty Toliver.

She attended Lincoln County Training School. She was a nurse’said at Silver Cross Nursing Home for many years. She retired fromthe Department of Human Services in Brookhaven. She was a member ofSpringfield M.B. Church, where she served as Missionary President,president of the Usher Board, a mother of the church and was amember of the financial committee. She was an associate matron ofthe Bathsheba Order of the Eastern Star, Star Hope Chapter No.68.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, J.C.Toliver and Charlie Toliver Jr.; her sisters, Lillie Mae,Christine, Maxine, Roberta and Hazel.

Survivors are her sons, Albert Lee Washington, and his wife,Lola Washington, of Chicago, Johnny Washington and his wife, MaryAnn Washington, of Brookhaven, Charles Washington, Hugh Washingtonand David Washington and his wife, Cookie Washington, all ofBrookhaven, Lucius Washington and his wife, Wylinda Washington, ofMadison, Tyrone Washington, of Bogue Chitto, and Michael Washingtonand his wife, Lisa Washington, of Brookhaven; her daughters, HelenWashington, of Bogue Chitto, and Geraldine Washington, of DenhamSprings, La.; her brother, Frank Toliver and his wife, Mary LouiseToliver, of Chicago; her sisters, Geneva Glasper, of Chicago, andHattie Gray, of New Orleans; 21 grandchildren; 13great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins andother relatives.
