Services for Gary Eugene Cox, of Monticello, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 28 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello withburial in Tilton United Methodist Church Cemetery inMonticello.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cox, 57, died Jan. 26, 2006, at Select Specialty Hospital inRidgeland. He was born on March 7, 1948, to Basil Andrew Cox andNorma Marie Carney Cox Griffith.

He was a millwright machinist with Georgia Pacific. He was amember of the United Steel Worker Union Local No. 371 for 37years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, MikeCox.

Survivors are his wife, Susan Cox, of Monticello; his sons,Micheal John Cox, of Arkansas, and Stephen Mark Cox, Michael AllenOliver and John David Oliver, all of Monticello; his daughters,Tracey Recheal Cox Martinez, of San Antonio, Texas, and Keisha AnnCox Smith and Brittney Amanda Cox Thurman, both of Monticello; hisbrother, Larry Dale Carney, of Monticello; his sister, Sandra CoxFerguson, of Tylertown; and eight grandchildren.
