Hannah Mae Campbell Green
Services for Hannah Mae Campbell Green, of Brookhaven, are 1p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Della Green M.B. Church with burial inCrump Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is today with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at R.E.Tyler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green, 82, died Feb. 8, 2006, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born on March 25, 1923, to Charlie Campbell and IdaGordon Campbell.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Della Green M.B.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RobertGreen; her brothers, Albert, Frank, Sam, Levi and Ralph Campbell;her sisters, Tillie Magee, Estelle Burton and Goldie Campbell.
Survivors are her sons, Charles Ralph Green and Edgar E. Green,both of Brookhaven; her daughters, Betty Green Johnson, ofBrookhaven, Barbara Green Davis, of Chicago, and Brenda GreenDavis, of Brookhaven; her brother, R.C. Campbell, of Brookhaven; 11grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and onegreat-great-grandchild.
W. Ray Thames
Services for W. Ray Thames, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m. Saturday,Feb. 11 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in HawkinsChapel Cemetery.
Mr. Thames, 85, died Feb. 9, 2006, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on Oct. 1, 1920, to Walter Thames and Dottie WardThames.
He was the owner of Thames and Eady, which he started in 1946.He was a member of Hawkins Chapel Methodist Church. He was aveteran of the Army during World War II. He was in the Fighting69th Infantry Division, 273rd, Company H. He was known as a legendin Mississippi for rabbit hunting and breeding beagles.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 65 years,Norma Elizabeth Thames; his sisters, Nell Boyd, Helen Eady, EthelBoyd, Eules Eady, Jessie Nettles and Gussie Norton; and hisbrothers, John Ralph Thames, Dave Thames and Ward Thames.
Survivors are his daughter, Susan Thames Case and her husband,Sherrill, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Pauline Cain, of Brookhaven,Dottie Ruth Hill, of Monticello, and Betty Jones, of Nashville; hisgranddaughter, Tammy Wilkinson and her husband, Roger, ofBrookhaven; his great-granddaughter, Brittany Prestridge, and herhusband, Grant, of Brookhaven; his stepgreat-granddaughter, HeatherHutchinson and her husband, Jimmy Ray, of Monticello; hisgreat-great-granddaughter, Gracie Rae Hutchinson, of Monticello;and a host of nieces and nephews.
Margaret June Williams
Graveside services for Margaret June Williams, of Brookhaven,are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Johnson Grove Church of ChristCemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon at BrookhavenFuneral Home.
Mrs. Williams, 91, died Feb. 12, 2006, at Haven Hall NursingHome. She was born in Odesa, Texas, on Jan. 21, 1915, to ArthurVick and Iro Jarnigan Vick.
She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of FirstUnited Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, HaroldWilliams.
Survivors are her sons, Greg Williams, of Bogue Chitto, and VickWilliams and his wife, Kathy, of Monroe, La.; her sister, FernBoase, of Hamilton, Texas; her grandchildren, Dara Dubois, RusWilliams, Rod Williams and Dustin Williams; and onegreat-grandchild, MacKenzie Dubois.
