James Frank ‘Jim’ Arnold

Services for James Frank “Jim” Arnold, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Monday, Feb. 27 at Ebenezer Methodist Church in FranklinCounty.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Community FuneralServices.

Mr. Arnold, 79, died Feb. 24, 2006, at Veterans AdministrationHospital in Jackson. He was born on Feb. 25, 1926, to Girth Arnoldand Emmie Arnold.

He owned Jim Arnold’s Lawn and Maintenance. He was a member ofEbenezer Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II,the Korean War and Vietnam.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Modest”Mollie” Arnold; his brother, Cauley Arnold; and his sister, AdelleArnold.

Survivors are his daughter, Kay Arnold Alsup, of Brookhaven; hisgrandson, Micah Alsup, of Brookhaven; his granddaughter, Amy Smith,of Brookhaven; and his great-granddaughter, Meredith McGee, ofBrookhaven.

Memorials may be made out to Ebenezer Methodist Church and theBrookhaven Veterans Museum.

Genevieve S. Case

Services for Genevieve S. Case, of Brookhaven, were Saturday,Feb. 25 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Case, 90, died Feb. 23, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 16, 1916, to FrankSmith and Nora Lee (Smith) Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship BaptistChurch and the Golden Oldies Club. A resident of Haven Hall NursingHome, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, James DenmanCase; her first husband, James Vernon Case; her second husband,Herman Martin Case; her brother, Edward Smith; and her sister,Wessie Reed.

Survivors are her son, Frank Delton Case and his wife,Elizabeth, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Pauline Sandidge ofRayville, La.; her brother, Elvin Smith of Brookhaven; her sister,Kathleen Smith of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; 12great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
