Services for Ernest “Ernie” Ransome, of St. Amant, La., are 7:30p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales,La.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Mr. Ransome, 55, died March 12, 2006. He was a native ofVicksburg.

He was the previous owner of Mitey Muffler and a boilermaker. Hewas a good-hearted, fun-loving person who will be greatly missed byall who knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter Ransome Sr., andGertrude Smith Ransome.

Survivors are the mother of his daughters, Margaret RussellRansome; his daughters, Tara Ransome, of Brookhaven, and TiffanieRansome, of Jacksonville, Fla.; his son, Shannon Ransome, ofVirginia; his sisters, Gail Stamm, of Harahan, La., Jeanne Barnesand Sue Ramsey, both of Jefferson, La., and Sandi Tadlock ofKenner, La.; his brother, Walter Ransome Jr., of Metairie, La.; hissix nephews, eight nieces and tons of friends.
