Roland Wayne Buckley

Graveside services for Roland Wayne Buckley, of Beaumont, Texas,were Monday, March 6, at Horn Cemetery in Magnolia Springs, Texas.Broussard’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Buckley, 56, died March 2, 2006. He was a native ofBrookhaven, and a resident of Beaumont for 40 years. He was a 1968graduate of Hardin Jefferson High School. After graduation, hestarted a career in the oil field business and was the past ownerof Oil Field Equipment Rental and Dixie Lee Construction. Prior tohis death he was the owner of H&H Construction.

Survivors are his parents, Flora and Darryl Vaughn Massey ofSour Lake, Texas; his wife Jennifer Buckley of Beaumont; hisdaughters, Holly Michelle Buckley, of Beaumont, and Heather DeniseBuckley, of Kemah, Texas; his brother, Ronnie Lynn Buckley, ofChina; his sister, Deborah Kelley, of Sour Lake; his aunt, SarahSmith, of Brookhaven; his uncles, Jimmy M. Smith and A.J. Smith,both of Brookhaven, and Grafton Smith, of Seattle, Wash.; his twograndchildren; and his niece and nephews.

Burnell Dunaway

Services for Burnell Dunaway, of Jayess, are 1 p.m. Wednesday,March 15, at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in Providence BaptistChurch Cemetery.

Mr. Dunaway, 83, died March 13, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn on April 29, 1922, to Ozzie Dunaway and Gertrude LambertDunaway.

He was a retired oil field worker with Dixilyn Field DrillingCo. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was amember of Calvary United Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his son, David Dunaway, of Jayess; his daughters,Florene Rollins, of McComb, Linda McKenzie, of Baker, La., andDeborah Pigott, of Summit; his brothers, Jewel Dean Dunaway, DaleDunaway and Winford Dunaway, all of Jayess, and Jerry Dunaway, ofByram; his sisters, Evaon Dunhurst, of Gonzales, La., MarguretteWilliams, of McComb, Donnie Nell Dickerson, of Jayess, and JereBoyd, of Brandon; his eight grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.

William J. Smith

Services for William J. Smith, of Hazlehurst, were today, March15, at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial in thechurch cemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Smith, 86, died March 13, 2006, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital in Hazlehurst. He was born on Oct. 16, 1918, to Isom Smithand Beulah Reed Smith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wives, Olla MaeSmith and Nellie Smith; his sons, Jerald and Jerry Smith; his threebrothers and five sisters.

Survivors are his son, Leon Smith, of Hazlehurst; threestepchildren and nine stepgrandchildren.

Nicholas H. Zimmerman

Services for Nicholas H. Zimmerman, of Roxie, are 10 a.m.Thursday, March 16, at Meadville Baptist Church with burial inMidway Cemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Zimmerman, 88, died March 13, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Ada, Okla., onDec. 24, 1917, to Andrew Zimmerman and Rosa Yerke Zimmerman.

He was a retired equipment operator with Franklin County. He wasa veteran of World War II with the 155th Infantry. He was a memberof the Presbyterian faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his three brothers; andhis three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Marie Bryant Zimmerman, of Roxie; hissons, Nicholas H. Zimmerman Jr., and wife, Janet Ann, and SteveAndrew Zimmerman, and wife, Anita Jane, all of Roxie; his brother,Johnnie Zimmerman, of Roxie; his sister, Mabel Carter, of Gloster;his grandchildren, Paul Zimmerman, Nicole Jones, Sean Zimmerman,Keith Zimmerman and Shannon Smith; and his sixgreat-grandchildren.
