Services for Mary Lea Burkett Sandell, of McComb, are 10 a.m.Saturday, March 18, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in McComb withburial in Hollywood Cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.
Visitation is Saturday from 9 a.m. until mass at 10 a.m. at thechurch.
Mrs. Sandell, 85, died March 16, 2006, at McComb Nursing andRehabilitation Center. She was born in Port Gibson on Sept. 17,1920, to Alfred Jennings Burkett and Viola Breaux Burkett.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Alphonsus CatholicChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Watt Ray”Bud” Sandell; and her sister, Jimmie Nunnery.
Survivors are her niece, Vicki Halford, of Brookhaven; hernephew, Jeffery Nunnery, of Brookhaven; her great-nieces, AmyDunaway, of Wesson, Claire Nunnery and Logan Nunnery, both ofMcComb; her great-nephews, Chase Fugler, of Brookhaven, andBrantley Nunnery, of McComb; her aunt, Marguerite McDonald, ofMcComb; and special friends and caretakers, Micky and Al Wimberly,of McComb.
