Bessie L. Castilaw

Services for Bessie L. Castilaw, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, March 21, at Victory Baptist Church with burial in WellmanBaptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, andTuesday, from noon until the time of the service at the church.

Mrs. Castilaw, 91, died March 18, 2006, at New Dawn RetirementCenter. She was born on July 8, 1914, to William Archie Walls andLeola Crane Walls.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Wellman BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Eugene”Bill” Castilaw; her brother, W.A. Walls; her sister, RuthWilliams; and her grandson, John Christopher Thompson.

Survivors are her son, James Castilaw, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Helen Thompson, of Jackson, and Evelyn Williamson, ofHattiesburg; her brother, Lamar Walls, of Brookhaven; her sister,Annie Belle Roberts, of Brookhaven; her 14 grandchildren; her ninegreat-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

LaNell R. Dean

LaNell R. Dean, 78, of McComb, died March 14, 2006, at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center. She was born in Louisiana onDec. 27, 1927, to Green Franklin Rigdon and Vesta Vail Rigdon.

Memorial services for Mrs. Dean will be held at a later datewith burial in Forrest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Beaumont,Texas. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was a retired nurse LVN with Baptist Hospital inBeaumont.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, IraClayton Dean Sr.

Survivors are her son, Ira Clayton Dean Jr., of Houston, Texas;her daughters, Mary McKlemurry, of McComb, and Wanda Sue Graham, ofHouston; her brothers, Denny Rigdon, of Shreveport, La., JackieRigdon, of Waco, Texas, Wayne Rigdon, of Beaumont, Sammie Rigdon,of Evert, Wash., and Jerry Rigdon, of Neosho, Mo.; her sisters,Lucille Hendrick, of Baton Rouge, La., and Eudene Murphy, ofNeosho; her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
