Harold Dean Kennedy

Services for Harold Dean Kennedy, of LaGrange, Ga., are 10 a.m.Wednesday, April 12, at New Life Apostolic Church in LaGrange withburial at 2 p.m. in Fort Mitchell, Ala. Striffler-Hamby Mortuary isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Kennedy, 63, died April 8, 2006, at West Georgia MedicalCenter. He was born in Glade Water, Texas, on Oct. 28, 1942, to Rayand Lucille Sanders Kennedy.

He was a safety supervisor with Brown and Root Construction Co.He served in the Air Force for two years.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Larry Cuttill II.

Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Delores Kennedy; hischildren and spouses, Big John and Vicki Bennett, of Brookhaven,Angela and Jeff Cuttill, of Sullivan, Ill., John and Misty Kennedy,and Carol Gravitt, all of LaGrange, Kenny and Sandra Kennedy, ofValley, Ala., and Kari and Arthur Pettus, of LaGrange; hisbrothers, Gerald Kennedy, David Kennedy, Donnie Kennedy and JamesKennedy; his sisters, Wanda Spinks and Sharon Kennedy; and his 14grandchildren.

Vilean ‘Dink’ Pennington

Graveside services for Vilean “Dink” Pennington, of Monticello,are 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Antioch Baptist Church inMonticello.

Mrs. Pennington, 64, died April 9, 2006, at her residence. Shewas born in Monticello on Nov. 26, 1941, to C.C. Smith and RacineMarsh.

She was co-owner of VJ’s Custom Framing. She was a member ofBethel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband of 49 years, A.J. Pennington; her son,Jerry Pennington and his wife, Wanda; her daughters, Sheila Taylorand her husband, Jackie, and Gina Russell, all of Monticello; hergrandchildren, Scott Pennington, of South Carolina, JustinPennington, Joshua and his wife, Amanda, Jonathan Taylor, RebeccaFoster and her husband, Joey, and Elizabeth Russell, all ofMonticello; and her great-grandsons, Jackson and Zackary Taylor, ofMonticello.
