Services for Dan Paul Smith, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Tuesday,April 18, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inFriendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 62, died April 18, 2006, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born on Dec. 21, 1943, to Joe B. Smith and EunicePorter Smith.

He was a construction worker. He was a graduate of BrookhavenHigh School. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Heserved in the Marines.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, LeonSmith, Marvin Smith and Othel Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Smith; his daughters, DeannaBlackledge and husband Adair, of Jackson, and Dana Roberts andhusband Dwayne, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Lucille Smith andhusband Ray, of Brookhaven, Sara Freeman and husband Solon, ofBrookhaven, and Eva Davis, of Baton Rouge, La.; and hisgrandchildren, Taylor Brooks Roberts, Treston Roberts and AnnAdairBlackledge.

Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church BuildingFund.

Fred H. Smith

Services for Fred H. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Tuesday,April 18, at St. James M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Mr. Smith, 89, died April 13, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn on Oct. 31, 1916, to Homer Smith and Estella Short Smith.

He was a retired butcher, having worked at Panzica Market inBrookhaven. He was a member of St. James M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Thelma”Honey” Smith.

Survivors are his son, Eddie Howard Smith, of Chicago, Ill.; hisdaughters, Helen Ruth Ramsey, of Brookhaven, Gloria Jean Smith, ofChicago, Freddie Marie Knight, of Dallas, Texas, Stella LouiseHawkins, of Brookhaven; his brothers, Paul Smith, of Inglewood,Calif., and Olian Smith, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his sisters,Dorothy Smith, Naomi Brown and Mildred Allen, all of Brookhaven,and Audrey Knox, of New Orleans, La.; his nine grandchildren and 14great-grandchildren.

Rheba S. Smith

Services for Rheba S. Smith, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, April 18, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 58, died April 15, 2006, at Central MississippiMedical Center. She was born on July 14, 1947, to Wesley E.McGlothin and Nancy Francis Wright McGlothin.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors are her father; her husband, Mervin Smith, of BogueChitto; her sons, John Wesley Smith, of Denver, Colo., and TerryLance Smith, of Bogue Chitto; her daughter, Amanda Sue Mellard, ofDenver; her brother, Billy Wayne McGlothin, of Sturgis, Ky.; hersisters, Ruby Doris Bowden, of Portage, Ind., Ruth Ann Galle, ofPortage, and Patricia Faye Mackenzie, of Cleveland, Ohio; and herfive grandchildren.

Joseph H. ‘Joey’ Waldrop

Services for Joseph H. “Joey” Waldrop, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.today, April 17, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHolly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today from 8 a.m. until the time of theservice at the funeral home.

Mr. Waldrop, 42, died April 14, 2006 at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on May 14, 1963, to JessieWaldrop and Gilda Faye Albritton Thornhill.

He was a former oil field worker. He was a member of Fair RiverBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; his stepfather, ClaudeH. Thornhill Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Philip Ivy.

Survivors are his mother, Gilda Faye Thornhill, of Brookhaven;his wife, Karen Waldrop, of Brookhaven; his son, Lance Waldrop, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Laura Waldrop, of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Jeff Waldrop and wife Beth, of Clinton, David Waldrop andwife Cindy, of Clinton, Jessie W. Waldrop and wife Jeanie, ofBrookhaven, Claude E. Thornhill and wife, Misti, of Brookhaven,Jonas Thornhill, of Ocean Springs, and Claude H.
