Services for Lucille Herring, of Silver Creek, were 11 a.m.Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Silver Creek Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Herring, 85, died May 16, 2006, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born in Buena Vista, Va., to James WashingtonTaylor and Nannie Elizabeth Henson Taylor.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of GodChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her husband, Carl Herring Jr., of Silver Creek;her daughters, Betty King, of Hopewell, Va., Mary Lou Hall, ofBrookhaven, Libbie Nations, of Silver Creek, Millie Davis, ofShreveport, La., Rena Guillory, of Deville, La., and Tricia Berry,of Shivers; her sons, Thomas “Corky” Nuckles, of Hopewell, Kenneth”Tuffy” Nuckles, of Walker, La., James “Sambo” Nuckles, of NewHebron, and Scotty Herring, of Silver Creek; her sister, LouiseRackley, of Hopewell; 17 grandchildren; and 27great-grandchildren.
