Services for Dovie Mae Walker, of Natchez, were 2 p.m. Monday,May 29, at Laird Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn MemorialPark Cemetery with Doug Fisher officiating.

Mrs. Walker, 80, died May 27, 2006, at Natchez Regional MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 6, 1926, to IsaacDelaughter and Carrie Sykes Delaughter.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lee J.Walker; her daughter, Mary Lee Chandler; her granddaughter, RebeccaWalker; and her 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Rebecca Henry and husband Richard(Neal), of Natchez; her son, Larry Walker and wife Judy, ofNatchez; her son-in-law, Billy Ray Chandler Sr., of Brookhaven; hergranddaughters, Carrie Myers, of Vidalia, La., Melissa Wisner andhusband Jason, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jennifer Nations, ofNatchez, Jessica Allemand and husband Hethe, of Fayetteville, N.C.,Lana Shoemake and husband Brandon, of Natchez; Charlotte Simmonsand husband Obie, of Denham Springs, La., Kim Edgerton and husbandChristopher, of Spokane, Wash.; her grandsons, Billy Ray ChandlerJr., Michael Chandler and Alton Chandler, all of Brookhaven.

Mrs. Walker’s grandsons served at pallbearers.
