Virginia H. ‘Ginger’ Davis

Services for Virginia H. “Ginger” Davis, of Wesson, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, June 14, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Davis, 70, died June 12, 2006, at her residence. She was born onOct. 27, 1935, to W.J. Hemby Jr., and Willie Belle Walker.

She was retired. She was a member of Heuck’s Retreat BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, William A.”Billy” Davis II, her brother, W.J. Hemby Jr.; and hersister-in-law, Quida Hemby.

Survivors are her son, James R. “Jimmy” Davis, of Brookhaven;her daughters, Melanie S. Clark, of Jackson, and Carole D.Thompson, of Brookhaven; her brother, James Ray Hemby, ofBrookhaven; her grandchildren, Christina Clark, of Jackson, andBrian Pope, Dewayne Thompson, Jamie Davis, Blake Thompson and CodyThompson, all of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers are Jack Simmons, Robert Gatlin, Cody Thompson,Brian Pope, Bradley Smith, Doyle Bratton and Doyle Rushing.Honorary pallbearers are the nursing staff and physicians wholovingly cared for her.

Sherry Pamela ‘Pam’ Hodges

Services for Sherry Pamela “Pam” Hodges, of Wesson, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, June 14, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hodges, 37, died June 11, 2006, at her residence. She was bornon Jan. 21, 1969, to James Robert Hodges and Nita Faye BuittLusk.

She was a retired registered nurse. She had been a devotedpediatric nurse for 10 years, as well as a loving volunteer sitterfor aged and ill loved ones throughout the years since herretirement. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, JimBuitt, and Ruth and Everett Jackson; and her paternal grandparents,Emanuel and Frances Hodges.

Survivors are her father, James Robert Hodges, of Bogue Chitto;her mother and stepfather, Nita and Don Lusk, of Wesson; hergrandmother, Thelma Lusk, of Wesson; her sisters, Jennifer LynnNations and Amy Leigh Case; her nieces, Chasity and LyndseyNations, and Jaycee Leigh Case; and her beloved pet, OscarHodges.

W. Ray Mullins

Wilbur Ray Mullins, 70, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, atMadison County Medical Center. Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m.,Saturday, June 10, at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Canton.Services were 11 a.m. Sunday, June 11, at the church with intermentat 3 p.m. at the Whitesand Baptist Church Cemetery in JeffersonDavis County under the direction of Breeland Funeral Home ofCanton. Officiating were Bro. Jerry Dillon and Bro. DonnieGrantham.

Mr. Mullins was born on Dec. 24, 1935, in Jefferson DavisCounty. He was a car salesman in the Jackson area for many years.He enjoyed building with his hands and helping other people. Hewill be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.

Ray is survived by his wife, Syble Mullins, of Canton; sons,Charles Ray Mullins (Karen Buck) of Scottsdale, Ariz., and RussellLee Mullins (Holly Lang), of Brandon; daughter, Emily Carol Teasley(Paul), of Brookhaven; granddaughters, Kelly, Katelyn and TaylorRae; grandsons, Nicholas, Steven, Trevor, Kyle, Kendall, Anthonyand Matthew; great-granddaughter, Audrey; sisters, Isabel Bright,of Ashland, Ada McCarty, of Stringer, and Catherine Sandifer, ofSlidell, La.; and his brother, Frank Mullins, of Brandon.
